On November 11th, 2011, We performed at a grand opening of a new indoor amusement park called iPlay America. It was awesome because we got cookies and pizza and a gift card to come back and play the games!!!!!

ICONic performance at the Paramount Theater, Long Island

Happy Birthday to my ICONic bro, Nick Mara! What a way to celebrate, a concert in Long Island! We went on a long bus ride and I sat with my best friend Tristan. It was at this awesome place called the Paramount Theater. It was beautiful! The ICONic Girlz and ICON Dollz and my brothers all performed.  I was so excited to see all the fans. We did about 7 meet & greets. It was definitely another ICONic Day to remember! Yeah to November 8, 2011!!!

ICON Dance Convention – Parsippany Sheraton

This November, it was time for ICON DANCE The Convention!

Yeah!

IAMme and the ICON family were so excited to unite and have fun at this event. Brandon from Iamme was there and Trey from Phunk were also there. I was able to assist GEO when he taught a workshop, along with a few other ICONic Boyz members. It was awesome! We did three meet and greets and question and answers, plus two parties! It was exhausting and fun, but ultimately, October 30th 2011 was one day that I will never forget.

Footlocker Gig – Oct 25

I almost cried when GEO asked me and Josh to dance with the six boys at a Foot Locker corporate event. We event went there in a limo! When we got there we went in our very own dressing room.  Since it looked like conference room, my boy Madison made pretend that we were at a corporate meeting and we were the employes. Lol.

Our first number was the dance we did for Hip Hop International then mixed it with Jay Z and our History of House performance at BeatStock. Then we did our RUNDMC number.

After that, we ate 2 Bros pizza. Gotta love those $1 slices!!!!

This is one performance I wont forget!

YEAH! BE ICONic ALL THE WAY!

Showstoppers Dance Convention – Orlando Florida – Oct 8 & 9

Yeah Showstoppers again!

I was so excited and happy when GEO asked me to help him assist him. My dad and Jade went too!

Our flight to Orlando was early we had to wake up at 3:00am!

When we got there we went straight to Universal studios! It was raining really, really hard but we went anyway and had a ball! One of my favorite rides was Harry Potter!

Later that night we watched the Blue Man Group show. It was so entertaining and awesome!

The next morning I helped assist GEO with 4 different classes!

I had a wonderful time in Orlando Florida and hope to assist GEO again soon!

Jardine Academy Performance – Sept 30th

On Friday Sept 30th, the entire ICON company went to Jardine academy. I felt thankful for what I had when I saw everyone there. I felt like we were doing the right thing by dancing for these special kids.

They loved us even though we didn't have rehearsal for this and made mistakes in choreography they didn't notice because when they were watching us dance they felt special watching.

It was the least we can do for them!

We definitely should do it again!!!!!

The Jardine Academy, a program of The Cerebral Palsy League, Inc. is a school for children with cerebral palsy. It provides a comprehensive educational program, specially designed to meet the cognitive and physical needs of children who have multiple disabilities. The Cerebral Palsy League operates this facility for students ages 3 - 21.

I'd like to thank ICON for allowing its students to get involved in events like this so that we can keep instilling our messages like "Be ICONic" and "Get Movin" to those who really appreciate the meaning behind those words.

Hurricane Irene Fundraiser – Open Class – Sept 23

Friday night was a blessing. I was so surprised that soooo many people were on line waiting. More than we ever thought would come! So, GEO did TWO classes! We put the little kids in zone 2 and put the big kids in zone 1 where I taught and Christina taught the little kids like my sister Jade. The boyz from my crew also helped out. We did the song “Without you” by Usher. I told the class when you are dancing to this song you should think of someone you want to help, and that's what “get movin” means.

We ended up raising about $7K and collected hundreds of pairs of sneakers to donate! A few weeks later Mayor Puchi of Monroe gave me and ICON a plaque in appreciation for the effort!

Thank you every one for coming and for everyone’s generous donations.

VEGAS BABY!!!! – Hip Hop International 2011

Right after the Lil Mama performance, we jumped on a plane to go to Vegas to attend the 2011 Hip Hop International Competition. It was an amazing opportunity for all of us. We got fourth in the Junior division and the ICONIC Dollz placed in the varsity which is amazing because there were so many crews that were soooooo good!!!!  I competed in the “all-styles” battle and made it through to the third round!!!! I met so many cool people.  They even made a video with my battle buddy from Australia!

Check out this video here!

Then, my aunt uncle and cousins from Arizona came to watch me dance and come to the jabbawockeez show.  It was amazing and inspiring!   Then we watched the World HHI competition at the Orleans Area.  It was huge!!!!! I got an honorable mention, a solo and even got to meet some fans!

When it was over, my uncle drove us back to Arizona.  It was fun!  Geo asked me to assist him at his dance teacher conference in Arizona. it was a great opportunity and was so funny because I showed up with the same outfit haha and I was teaching teachers. Vegas and AZ were soooo much fun!!!! Back to Jerzzzz!

The memories will last a lifetime!

HEALTH CORPS PERFORMANCE AND MANALAPAN DAY!

The Iconic Boyz and I went to Brooklyn to perform at a Health Corps event.  It was so cool. They were promoting healthy eating and staying active.

After we went to L&Bs pizza!!!! Yeahhhh baby!!!!! It was delicious and it was near Horizons Dance studio, so we had to stop by!

Then, we headed to Manalapan day. That was crazy! There were so many people. I couldn’t believe that so many people were waiting for the Iconic Boyz! It was my very first meet-n-greet! It was really fun it was great to see the fans and perform for them. What an amazing day!

USTD NATIONAL COMPETITION - 2011

It was an awesome summer at competition, with our Disney themes. One of my favorite dances was "Newsies". My goal was to win the Mr. Dance title of the US.

All of the other dancers in my category were awesome and I was thinking to myself I’d be happy just to place. When they announced all the runner- ups and didn’t hear my name, I thought it was all over, but then, they said my name as the winner!!!!!! I couldn’t believe it!!!!

I had an amazing time at USTD. I won a lot of awards, but most importantly I had fun with my friends, learned a lot and made GEO and Beth proud!!!!

ICON OF THE YEAR!!!!!

Hey Guys,

This is my very first blog post as ICON of the Year!!!!! Yaaaaa….. The day that I found out I got ICON of the Year was amazing! I couldn't believe my ears, I didn't know that the icon of the year could be a boy. I was like “yes!”

When I walked up to GEO and Beth I was so happy that I didn't know what to say! So, Beth asked me to do a little dance instead!!! It was so awesome and I was so honored to be the icon of the year!  I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year will bring!!!!!
